Hi, I’m Meghan Burr-Martin, Assistant Personal Trainer at Peak Physique!
I’ve been a trainer for a short amount of time, and this is my first professional role in fitness! Before joining the team, I led a private online fitness support group where women encouraged each other to stay active and share healthy recipes. Now, I’m thrilled to bring that same sense of community and motivation into the gym.
Why I Love Being a Personal Trainer
I love interacting with women from different stages of life and backgrounds. It’s inspiring to witness others’ health journeys and be their cheerleader along the way. Seeing clients show up, even when life is hectic, motivates me to do the same.
How I Became a Trainer
I first came to Peak Physique Women in the fall of 2024 as a client. For one hour each week, I found a sense of belonging and engagement I didn’t realize I’d been missing. Around the same time, the funding for my public health position was cut, and I began reflecting on my next step.
One day mid-workout, when Lissa asked what I might do next, I said, “This!” I realized I could channel my background in public health, improving community well-being, into something more personal: helping individuals build healthier, stronger lives. And now, here I am!
My Advice for Beginners
Pursuing physical strength and conditioning is an investment in yourself. Find a trainer you feel comfortable being honest with; someone who listens and adapts. A good trainer will always offer modifications and help you work through discomfort safely. Communication and trust are key to success.
Why Fitness Matters to Me
For me, fitness is about feeling strong, reducing aches and pains, and aging with energy and confidence. I want to live my best and longest life for my two boys, Isaiah and Silas, and set a healthy example they can look up to. This journey is about reversing old habits and embracing lifelong wellness.

I’m a proud mom to two boys, Isaiah and Silas, who are just shy of four years apart. They inspire nearly every decision I make and remind me daily why health matters.
My Pets
I have one beloved cat-angel, Houdini, who passed away in 2024 but will always have a special place in our hearts. His love touched our lives fur-ever.
My Hobbies
Outside of the gym, you’ll find me enjoying a strong cup of dark roast coffee, gardening, crocheting (Tunisian crochet lately), hiking, kayaking, camping, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, reading, and baking.
