Looking For A Covid Safe Personal Trainer? Check Out Our Top Tips!

It’s not easy to find a COVID-safe personal trainer, we know, because it’s hard to BE a COVID-safe personal trainer. There are a lot of restrictions that are ever-changing, and we have to remain vigilant to keep up on them.

At Peak Physique, we work every day to be the safest personal trainers possible. Keep reading to learn how to find a covid safe personal trainer and how we are continuing to be a safer personal trainer.

1. Read Recent Reviews

One of the best ways to assess whether a gym has been safe during COVID-19 or not is by checking their most recent reviews. This gives you an idea of what services they’re currently offering and what people think about their reaction to covid.

For example, at Peak Physique, one of our most recent reviews talks about our online fitness program. Just because the world shut down didn’t mean our passion for helping people shut down. We regrouped and started offering virtual programs to continue to safely work with our patients.

It’s clear our customers are happy with our changes, which makes us keep pushing forward. You also deserve to find a personal trainer that you’re happy with as well.

2. Call Them!

If you’re unsure of how a personal training studio has responded to the pandemic, give them a call and ask! Usually, companies have their policies posted online, but if you can’t find them, don’t hesitate to call.

We’ve been clear on our policies at Peak Physique and went above and beyond by hiring Rainbow International to professionally clean our building. The health of our clients is our first priority, and it really always has been.

3. Ask Your Friends or Family

It’s always a good idea to ask your friends or family for referrals. They’re not going to give you bad advice, and more people use a personal trainer than you’d think! Friends or family is great too because they’ll give you an honest opinion about the place they’re recommending so you know exactly what you’re getting into.

Here are some easy questions you can ask to ensure you’re getting the right care:

  • What’s it like working with the trainer?
  • What do the programs look like?
  • How often are you training?
  • What safety precautions do they have in place to protect me?
  • Is it 100% in-person or is it a hybrid program with online workouts?

Asking these simple questions will give you a better idea of what you’d be getting yourself into, and if the training program is going to be right for you..

4. A Trainer That Uses Basic Equipment

What we mean by this is that you should be able to work out from home without having to go out and buy a bunch of equipment. There’s not a lot of personal training studio equipment you really need to get a good workout.

If the personal trainer you decide to go with tries to tell you to buy a ridiculous amount of equipment, consider going to another trainer. Unless your plan is to build out an entire home workout center, save the money and grab an elastic band instead.

5. They Are Certified

As always, you need a personal trainer that is certified. There’s been an increase in people thinking they can offer online workouts and start making money from home, but signing up with someone who doesn’t have a certification can be very dangerous. They can push you too hard or give you exercises that are wrong for your body or goals.

It’s easy to get hurt when you workout wrong, so you owe it to yourself to train with someone who understands the right ways to get things done.

How We Continue To Be Covid Safe Personal Trainers

We are sterilizing all day every day. We personally take the time to clean our equipment, so you know for a fact no one left their sweat marks all over. Our appointments are scheduled in a way where you won’t come into contact with other people in your training area, except for the trainer of course.

When you come in for your appointment, we check your temperature and ensure you’re wearing a mask. The trainers keep an appropriate distance during the workout as well. Our building is all split up into sections, so when there are others, you’re kept away from one another.
