The Only Personal Training Studio Equipment You’ll Ever Need
We all know how critically important exercise is to our overall health and our immune system. As we continue to navigate this new world that requires we put our safety first and foremost, it can be easy to let our commitment to fitness slide. That’s why we decided to talk about the only personal training studio equipment you need at home.
During the last few months, so many of us have slipped back into our default mode. We consider default mode different for everyone, but in general, it’s that comfortable place where we make excuses and accept that this is as good as it’s gonna get.
We accept the back pain, extra pounds, and reduced energy as a product of a world that is out of our control. Did Covid throw each one of us into that place, our secret default mode? Absolutely.
Do we need to stay there, hiding from the accountability that we know will help us feel better? Hell to the no! What better way to keep ourselves safe than by recommitting to a fitness plan, finding the right personal training studio equipment, and ensuring our bodies are strong and healthy?
How To Get Out Of That Default Mode
As we’ve mentioned, Peak Physique Fitness has gone to great lengths to make sure our clients feel safe when they enter our studio. However, some of our clients are simply not ready to come back yet, and we can totally appreciate and understand that. It would be fair to assume that this is not specific to our little home away from home and expands to most if not all fitness centers.
We are so grateful that we started our journey into online personal training a few years ago. It allowed us to very easily transition our clients that are not quite ready to return to a virtual program.
We designed a customized program that allows them to work steadily towards their goals and not slip into that default mode-or more commonly right now pull them out of it. It has allowed us to continue working with clients to reduce pain in their backs, knees, or neck. It has allowed us to help clients lose weight and control anxiety through an incredibly challenging time.
But, I Don’t Have Equipment!
When we talk to a prospective online personal training client, the number one concern is almost always “but I don’t have any equipment.” At Peak Physique, we have the experience to design a specific program with workouts tailored not only for a client’s fitness level but also the equipment they have available.
Oftentimes, online programs are marketed as body weight programs, with no equipment needed at all! Bodyweight programs are wonderful and absolutely have a place in the online personal training world but can also be extremely limiting. If a client’s goals are to decrease lower back pain and increase flexibility chances are likely that some equipment will be required in comparison to a goal of weight loss (burpees anyone?!?). We have some fabulous news though…BANDS!
The Only Personal Training Studio Equipment You Need To Get Started
If you’ve never used a mini band, booty band, resistance band, or thera band before, you are in for a wonderful surprise. Bands can be versatile, challenging, and inexpensive. They also allow us to create challenging, specific, and fun workouts for our online clients.
Weight Training Bands and Dumbbells – That’s It!
Bands give us the flexibility to challenge our clients from where THEY are comfortable working out. We also use different types of bands in the studio all day every day in conjunction with dumbbells.
Another area our online personal training programs focus is on recovery. In our opinion, your next workout is only as good as your previous recovery. Online personal training allows us to teach clients how to take care of their bodies pre and post-workout. Whether it’s through nutrition, myofascial release, or stretching, we’re there every step of the way to help.
How many times have we been at the gym and the trainer taught us a stretch and we got home and could not remember how to do it? The application that we use for our online personal training programs allow us to record and load those stretches right into your program and will be there for reference whenever you need it.
Online personal training offers a less expensive, safer in regards to exposure, and flexible form of training. We know that it isn’t for everyone but some have been surprised how well it has fit into their lives and pulled them out of their default mode.
What To Look For In An Hybrid In-Person and Online Personal Trainer?
If you can’t enjoy our hybrid in-person and online personal training near Troy, MI, then be sure to look for these qualities in a program and a trainer:
- Cares about your safety and health – you and your trainer should both be wearing a mask and practicing social distancing as much as possible when in person.
- The trainers you work with are certified personal trainers.
- Try to find a training studio rather than a large gym (Yes, there’s a difference).
- They take into account your personal pains or goals, not a one size fits all program.
If you can’t find a local gym to do that for you, then definitely check out our 100% online virtual training program. There are many benefits to training online that you don’t want to miss out on.
